We have all the time in the world.......

Ok, so I've just spent the past hour sitting talking to an old friend I haven't seen in 2 years. She was one of my best friends in college, we spent everyday together. She helped mould me into the woman I am today. And then, due to a situation, she left my life as quickly as she came into it....
Meeting all of the lovely ones at the My Ruin gigs made me realise something and it got me thinking....(was that really a week ago already??!!)

Sitting there today, watching my friend smile, hearing her once familar laugh - it was like music to my ears.
Time can be a wonderous thing...celebrating birthdays, healing wounds, mending broken hearts. But time is also a theif....

it steals the most precious moments by passing by with verocious speed, it can slowly erase those one vivid memories, it can make the best of friends seem like strangers.....and if you let it - time will allow your life to pass you by.

Don't let it....

Don't allow yourself to become a stranger to a once close friend.
Don't allow those beautiful moments to become a distant memory.
Grab the reins of this crazy horse called Life - and ride it. Steer whichever direction you want to go, change your mind if you so wish - but don't stop riding.

Whatever you want to say - say it. Otherwise, how will they know?
Whatever you want to do - do it. Don't be ashamed of failure......how will you know your limits if you don't test them????

This is something I wrote a while ago on the plane on the way back from New York. It reflects exactly how I feel now....

As I sit here by my window soaring in the sky, I notice that ice has formed in tiny speckles on the areoplane window.

As the sunlight shines onto them - penetrating their delicate surface; each induvidual special flake glistens a multitude of crystal colours. Each one creating, in its own small way, a dazzling vision.

Each little iceflake represents a person. Despite the size, orientation or final destination, we all have our own effect and we all sparkle in our own way - making each of us unique.

And,in our own ways - we are ALL a dazzling vision.

I'm shite with computers and have never declared otherwise.....so I hope this thing works.

I just want to say a huge thanks to the little blonde one for making this gorgeous spangly journal for me. A huge thank you goes out to Kat for the "user manual" too.....

I shall try adding people and stuff later - one step at a time!!
